Inside Sales Development Specialist, Industrial Water

The Inside Sales Development Specialist will support the sales team with product sales and conduct water sample testing to determine client needs, requiring expertise in the engineering aspects of the products.

Responsibilities

Develop an in-depth understanding of our products, and our customer base by working closely with seasoned staff wo will serve as mentors in this role
Learn to manage bag filter product proposal process, quoting, and sales process. $1.4M business annually
Acquire skills to support E-commerce Sales process and continue to optimize
Conducts intensive testing of water samples to determine the client’s needs and how Filtra-Systems can best service
Interviews potential customers to determine their needs
Using problem solving and consulting skills to help customers improve their business
Helps support the Spare Parts department with responding to client requests, shipping orders, etc
Staying abreast of emerging trends in the filtration industry
Willing to travel by car or airline as needed for customer visits, trade-shows, and closing deals
Occasional overnight stays when required
Leads and participates in trade-show seminars relating to our products
Creates and performs sales presentations
Follows up promptly on new opportunities
Assists in keeping our website and sales media current and up-to-date
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
This position’s performance will be measured based on customer satisfaction
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability

Required

Chemical Engineering degree with desire to work in sales is preferred and a minimum of one (1) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience
Strong interpersonal skills a must
Proven ability to be self-directed in a lab setting
Good organization and time-management skills
Ability to practice and promote required safety standards
Working knowledge and ability to review, interpret and apply technical manuals, technical instructions and standard operating procedures in all aspects of quality assurance
Knowledge and ability to collect data, process forms and compose reports
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with ability to interact effectively with a variety of personnel
Proficient skills using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
