Responsibilities
Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project
May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists
May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades
Provide architectural leadership on complex projects
Lead the development of contract documents through all phases of design (SD, DD, CD, CA)
Prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications
Coordinate and lead quality control reviews of contract documents prior to issuance to client
Coordinate internal AECOM and external A/E disciplines for successful outcomes during construction
Coordinate and attend design reviews with clients, project managers, and municipal agencies
Validate design decisions based on cost analysis with an understanding of logistics and procurement efficiencies
Evaluate contractor’s progress during construction and provide recommendations
Stay current with new design software developments (i.e., BIM, Revit, ACC, AI, Bluebeam, etc.)
Apply creative design thinking to client’s business problems to help maximize value of AECOM’s service to the client

Qualification
Required
Bachelor in Architecture for a NAAB accredited professional program
6+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Licensed Architect in the state of practice
Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, as well as visualization tools like Enscape or Lumion
Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and sustainability practices
Preferred
Master's degree in Architecture
8+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Experience in federal projects, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality designs
Strong portfolio showcasing impactful architectural designs across relevant sectors
LEED Accreditation or equivalent sustainability certification is a plus
