Leidos is seeking a skilled Data Platform Operations Engineer to join our team in support of advanced analytics, AI/ML and agentic AI business requests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting reliable, optimized, and scalable Data Platform solutions for supporting data pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design and build the foundational data architecture for data storage and processing

Administer, optimize, and secure various Data Platforms in support of Data pipelines

Support administration and configuration changes to Servers across environments

Support user and developer requests for utilizing the Data Platform Solutions to build successful Data Products

Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment to Use Case

Configure and optimize the data platforms to ensure the teams meet the Data Contracts for currency, throughput, and performance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field

Proficiency in APIs and server side scripting

Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud Servers and Architecture

Experience with applying strong Security policies to the Data Platform environment

Strong SQL and relational database skills

Experience and understanding of large Cloud storage solutions such as Snowflake, Azure Blob Storage and AWS S3

Familiarity with Data Governance and Data Quality concepts and best practices

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and collaboration abilities
