Apiary Medical Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business focused on providing high-quality medical products. They are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Room Associate to assemble component parts according to specifications, ensure quality, and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Accurately assemble custom procedure trays, learning to identify medical components by description and vendor item number

Follow assembly instructions and place the correct component and quantity (using the counting method) into the tray

Visually inspect components for defects and verify conformance to specifications and reports and/or reject defective components, informing the team leader per guidelines

Verify at least one product is batch counted on cart, removing outer packaging from product when necessary

Verify contents of Device History Record (assembly instructions, pick ticket, kit insert labels, expiration of dates of products, notes pertaining to particular builds, box labels, etc.)

Verify vendor ID and description of all components (if applicable) when arranging them sequentially on carts

Ensure sealing machine is properly calibrated and at correct setting (temperature, speed, pressure)

Check for the correct header bag, properly insert labels, and seal packages to the proper specifications

Complete necessary paperwork

Follow directions from supervisor related to tasks and safety, and report unsafe conditions

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a keen ability to listen and solve problems

Ability to write simple correspondence in English, and ability to effectively present information in one-one-one situations to other employees of the organization

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions in English

Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others

Strong attention to detail and dedication to accuracy

Must be able to read in English to match labels to Bill of Materials and understand directions in English

Must be able to accurately count up to 20 pieces

Preferred

Experience in sterile packaging/tray manufacturing
