Responsibilities
The System Administrator works primarily with a number of supported department(s) with their purchased or developed technology systems that enhance the functionality of that department(s) role
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for day-to-day operations of assigned system platforms: to include maintenance, operating system deployment, optimum security practices, product updates and general overall housekeeping
This position specifically assists in all things Core Systems for county government
Financial, 911 Systems Support, Employee Timekeeping, Microsoft Environment, Database Management and Back Up, and many other Core Systems need multiple IT attention for redundancy and safety
These Core System Administrators work with the Department System Administrators to make sure the systems are up to date, and running efficiently
Qualification
Required
BS/BA in Information Systems or Computer Science or relevant field required from an accredited college or university desired
2 or more years of progressive experience within the information systems field preferably within the public sector
Prior network operations experience required
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint Experience)
Possession of a valid driver's license
