Pre-Engineered Metal Building Foreman
Mahaney, a Tecta America Company, LLC, is seeking a Steel Foreman to lead a crew in the safe and productive assembly of pre-engineered metal buildings. The role involves managing daily production goals, fostering a positive culture, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols while supervising and training crew members.

Responsibilities
Ability to understand the individual skill levels of each crew member
Has strong time management skills and ability to meet crucial deadlines
Prep truck and equipment for each day’s production goals
Good social skills
Problem solving
Relay needs to the proper people
Ability to plan ahead
Prepare material prior to assembly
Hoisting and guiding components into place using cranes or telehandlers
Working from mobile elevated work platforms and operating them
Install fiberglass building insulation, metal cladding, standing seam roofs
Rig hoist and move material
Install insulated metal panels, windows, passage doors
Extensive knowledge of hand and power tools (hammers, levels & squares, circular saws, impact drills)
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedules
Cut and weld metal sections using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment
Document changes in the field and progress. Communicate these with the superintendent and assigned PM
Discuss a plan of action daily for the following day, ensure that the crew is involved and has the resources needed to meet those goals
Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and training and safety handbooks. Properly follow OSHA safety procedures
Signal crane operator in setting of steel members during erection
Verifiable leadership qualities
Ability to manage people and production in the industry
Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, attendance, and work ethic
Ability to coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
Supervise and train and develop crew members
Meet project deadlines and perform the work within the constraints of the budget and schedule
Communicate effectively with contractors, superintendents, and others on the job
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment

3-5 years of work experience in the steel industry is required
Experience with steel erection, wall panels, and metal roofing required
Experience with reading and interpreting metal building blueprints required
Minimum 1-year, or equivalent, supervisory or management experience required
Preferred
Experience with SSR roofing and insulated panels
