Responsibilities

Coach and mentor accounting managers and supervisors to ensure succession readiness
Lead the development of annual operating plans, budgets, and financial targets aligned with long-term business goals
Oversee daily accounting functions including journal entries and assist in improving accounts receivable, payable, and cash application processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly/quarterly/yearly management reports
Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
Support internal and external audits and assist with asset management
Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Required

Post-secondary education and at least 5 years' industry experience
Accounting, finance or business degree required
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to process financial data
Detail and deadline oriented, takes initiative, and good decision-making skills
Solid organizational skills to oversee multiple open projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong planning and organizational skills

Preferred

Bilingual in Spanish and/or Japanese
Japanese language proficiency is strongly preferred
At least 5 years of financial experience within logistics (freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and contract logistics preferred)
Experience with CargoWise and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
