Fuze HR Solutions is seeking an experienced EST-4 Fire Alarm Programmer to support, troubleshoot, and optimize complex fire alarm and life safety systems. This role focuses on large-scale, networked EST-4 systems in commercial, institutional, and mission-critical environments.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Program, configure, and commission Edwards EST-4 fire alarm systems
Develop and modify system logic, sequences of operation, and cause-and-effect matrices
Perform system startups, acceptance testing, and final commissioning
Troubleshoot software, network, and device-level issues
Integrate fire alarm systems with:
Voice evacuation
Mass notification systems
BMS / BAS
Elevator, HVAC, and security interfaces
Review drawings, submittals, and specifications for programming accuracy
Support field technicians during installation and testing
Assist with system upgrades, expansions, and retrofits
Interface professionally with customers, engineers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
Ensure compliance with NFPA 72 , local fire codes, and project specifications
Document programming changes and provide as-built programming files

Required

4+ years of hands-on experience programming Edwards EST-4 systems
Edwards EST-4 factory certifications
Proficiency with Edwards configuration and programming tools
Strong understanding of fire alarm networking and node architecture
Solid knowledge of NFPA 72
Solid knowledge of fire alarm device addressing and loops
Solid knowledge of audio/visual notification and voice systems
Ability to read and interpret fire alarm drawings and specifications
Experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Valid driver's license

Preferred

Large campus or commercial experience
Mission-critical facilities (hospitals, data centers, airports, universities)
Familiarity with mass notification and survivability requirements
NICET or pursuing a NICET strongly preferred
Strong documentation and customer communication skills
