Bolthouse Fresh Foods is a leader in carrot production, serving as a grower, packer, processor, and shipper. The Production Assistant will assist the supervisor in troubleshooting and making minor adjustments to plant equipment, ensuring maximum quality and production while minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

Alert maintenance staff, plant operator, and manager of all breakdowns

Give updates on equipment statuses

Read and prepare work orders

Create logistics to perform work while coordinating with production, maintenance, and supervisors

Monitor production area

Respond to maintenance calls

Check code dates, work orders, and inspect equipment

Train new employees on how to safely work on or near equipment or heavy machinery

Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe plant

Inspect work area

Perform clean-up using proper tools and machinery as needed

Responsible for notifying supervisor of any object found or pest sighted in the work area

Must be aware of the following and assist in interpreting and enforcing them: ALL sanitation guidelines, safety regulations, and company policies

Monitor and ensure that the following areas are running smoothly and not backing up: “Big Blue”, Cello Pit, and South Plant
