Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic advisor to the President, executive team, and executive director on legal, compliance, and risk-related matters

Provide advice and counsel to the Board of Directors and President on corporate governance matters

Manage, mentor, and develop a small legal team, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth

Proactively identify legal and compliance risks and develop pragmatic, risk-based mitigation strategies

Lead compliance programs and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across the organization

Negotiate, draft, and review complex commercial contracts; support critical business negotiations

Provide guidance on litigation, employment law, licensing, and other operational legal issues

Partner with cross-functional leaders to enable strategic initiatives and business development efforts

Support future growth strategies with sound legal counsel and risk management
