Responsibilities
Contribute to the design of seasonal activewear collections from concept to final sample
Create sketches, CADs, and detailed tech packs to communicate design intent clearly
Research fabrics, trims, finishes, and innovations in performance wear
Ensure designs balance style, function, and commercial viability
Work closely with the Design Director and Senior Merchant to ensure alignment on design vision, brand positioning, and merchandising strategy
Work closely with cross-functional teams including buying, product development, and technical design to ensure alignment and timely execution
Ensure all design work adheres to seasonal calendars and deadlines
Review samples and make fit, fabric, and construction adjustments as needed
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of professional experience in women's apparel design, ideally with activewear, performance wear, or athleisure
Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD design tools
Strong ability to create and update tech packs with accurate details
Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrications (especially performance fabrics)
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with production, technical design, and merchandising teams
Preferred
Experience with technical performance fabrics, construction methods, and finishing techniques specific to activewear
Familiarity with new and innovative materials in the activewear/performance space
Knowledge of contemporary fashion and lifestyle trends that influence activewear
