Responsibilities
Lead the design and architecture of complex, large-scale Java-based applications and microservices, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and maintainable
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
Work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders and product owners, to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions and high-level design documents
Identify and address performance bottlenecks, design flaws, and complex system issues, implementing solutions to build resilient systems
Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technologies to ensure the company stays current with emerging industry trends
Create and maintain detailed technical diagrams and documentation for architectural decisions and system designs
Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is typically required
Extensive experience in software development with a strong focus on Java, often 7-10+ years, including prior experience as an architect
Proficiency in Java SE/EE and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate
A strong understanding of software architecture principles and microservices
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Proven leadership and project management capabilities
Preferred
Experience with API gateways and security protocols like OAuth or JWT
Relevant certifications (e.g., OCP, TOGAF)
Experience integrating AI/ML into Java systems
