Avionics Test Engineer III - New Glenn
Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems for the benefit of Earth. This role supports the development and operations of the New Glenn launch vehicle, focusing on testing and qualifying flight avionics hardware to ensure safe human spaceflight.

Responsibilities
Responsible for test campaigns in support of manufacturing and qualifying flight avionics hardware
Share in the team’s impact on all aspects of developing safe and robust avionics for the New Glenn launch vehicle
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
5+ years of hands-on experience developing and/or testing electronic systems or devices
Sound knowledge of electronics, electrical circuit fundamentals
Cognizant of EMI/EMC standards, IEC & automotive standards or equivalent
Familiar with hardware development life cycle
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Passion for hands-on problem solving and avionics integration and test
Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs
Preferred
7+ years of coordinated test and operations experience (aircraft, launch vehicles, spacecraft, racing teams)
Experience leading sophisticated projects combining hardware, firmware, and software
Experience being responsible for the development and testing of real-time embedded systems with a focus on modular and extensible architectures
Experience working with Python
Familiarity with Linux and other Unix-style operating systems
Familiarity with git, Jenkins, JIRA
Experience developing hardware to IPC J-STD-0001xS, IPC/WHMA-A-620x-S, and/or NASA-STD-8739.n standards
Experience with DO-160, MIL-STD-461, and SMC-S-016 (or equivalent testing standards)
Experience with safety-critical systems development (automotive, aerospace, medical, etc.)
