Wahoo Fitness is a company that builds training tools for athletes, and they are seeking a Senior Project Manager for Indoor Training Products. In this role, you will lead the development of complex electromechanical systems, coordinating various teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end program execution for indoor cycling and running products, from concept through production

Build and manage integrated schedules across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, ID, operations, and suppliers

Drive EVT/DVT/PVT planning, execution, and readiness, including phase reviews, build planning, and risk assessments, identify program risks early and lead cross-functional mitigation plans across cost, schedule, performance, quality, and supply

Coordinate internal engineering teams and external partners/ODMs as products mature

Support build execution, issue triage, and tradeoff decisions during critical development phases

Partner closely with technical leads to balance engineering rigor with speed and learning

Help define, refine, and scale Wahoo’s product development processes, tools, and operating cadence

Use data - test results, field feedback, reliability metrics, and manufacturing yields - to inform program decisions

Required

7+ years of experience leading complex hardware programs, preferably electromechanical consumer products

Strong bias toward a mechanical systems background (enclosures, structures, thermal, DFM/DFX), with the ability to coordinate across EE and firmware

Proven experience running NPI programs through EVT/DVT/PVT

Experience managing products across multiple production scales, from low-volume (~1,000 units/year) to high-volume (~200,000+ units/year)

Familiarity with both internal development and ODM/contract manufacturing models

Strong organizational and communication skills — able to lead through influence in a lean organization

Comfort operating in evolving processes and helping bring discipline without slowing teams down

Willingness to travel occasionally to support builds and supplier engagement

Preferred

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: Upchain (PLM), Jira & Confluence (program tracking and documentation), Smartsheets (schedule and dependency management), NetSuite (ERP / supply chain awareness)

Experience with fitness equipment, connected devices, or durable consumer products

Background in endurance sports, cycling, running, or structured training — or strong curiosity about how athletes use products in the real world

Experience supporting products through early ramp, yield learning, and post-launch stabilization
