Responsibilities

Enters complex patient, specimen and test information into the Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) computer system

Prints patient and specimen demographics and verifies all information entered on no less than 210-450 forms per day

Run end of day reports, filing, enter PKU monitoring, enter Unsatisfactory specimens, enter clinical chemistry, creating boxes for filing, running newborn screen queries, pick up microbiology and newborn screen submission forms, enter rabies specimens, reading and responding to email from lab personnel in a timely manner

Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or continuity of operations (COOP) activation

Supports the creation of a laboratory-wide safety culture by serving as a liaison to the Safety Office to ensure a healthy and safe workplace

Required

At least six (6) months of work experience in data entry

Experience in proofreading documents/reports, editing, performing quality assurance checks and/or analyze documents
