Responsibilities

Lead Costing Team: Manage and provide leadership to team Cost Accounting Coordinators, ensuring smooth operations and the timely completion of all costing activities

Costing and Financial Analysis: Oversee the preparation and analysis of Cost Accounting reports, i.e., yields, end of shift reports

Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments such as operations, QA, and supply chain as needed

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve costing methodologies, ensuring compliance with industry best practices, cost-saving initiatives, and process efficiency

Training & Development: Mentor team members, providing training and development opportunities to ensure the team’s growth and skill enhancement

Required

Associate's degree required or working towards this goal

A minimum of 2 years of experience in costing, finance, or accounting, with at least 1 year in leadership/oversight role

Proficiency in costing software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and support a team

Strong analytical abilities, with experience in cost analysis

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with both internal teams and external stakeholders on 1st and 2nd shift

Ability to think critically and solve complex problems related to costing and pricing. Be willing to ask why and pursue the most appropriate answer
