They are seeking a Construction Materials Lab Technician to prepare soil samples for testing, perform laboratory tests, and maintain a clean work environment.

Responsibilities
Prepare soil samples for testing according to applicable test procedures
Perform laboratory tests according to specs and standards such as but not limited to Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, proctors, sulfates, HMAC testing, concrete compressive strength testing
Record lab results
Maintain a clean work environment, and keep lab tools and equipment organized and ready for tests
Requires lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 70 lbs
Consult with supervisor on test assignments or other related issues
Perform administrative duties such as filling up timesheets and expense reports
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer knowledge
Able to prepare legible reports and documentation
Attention to detail
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License
Able to work as part of a team
Be reliable
Have a strong work ethic
Have a positive attitude
Requires lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 70 lbs
Preferred
TXAPA, NICET, ACI, Certs applicable to TxDOT testing
