Responsibilities

Define appropriate network engineering requirements (fiber, electrical power, RF, monitoring, IP Network design, etc.)
Create and review designs using engineering tools such as iBWave and ATOLL
Lead customer technical meetings to establish technical requirements and scopes of work
Act as a technical subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
Facilitate timely and effective customer communication through regular meetings, reporting, site visits, and conference calls
Manage and direct contract resources, temporary technical staff, and engineering vendors
Manage multiple projects and provide regular status updates and progress reports to customers and management. Compile and maintain all project documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures
Participate in special projects and initiatives and provide progress reports to management
As a Senior Engineer, VSD you may be responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of Engineers and Associate Engineers

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and more than 8 years of relevant experience required
iBWave Level 2 certification or 3 years of hands-on iBWave experience required
Knowledge of IP network design, planning, configuration, integration, testing, and security required
Strong critical thinking skills, with a proven capability to work well independently and with others to solve problems
Approximately 50% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities
While performing the role you may need to lift up to 25 lbs
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results
Able to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables the organization to meet stated business objectives
Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible RF engineering experience, at least 4 of which directly involved Inbuilding network solutions and designs as a primary job responsibility preferred
CCNA certification preferred
