Responsibilities
Perform Design & Analysis: Contribute to bridge design, structural analyses, and calculations for highway structures in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky
Support Bridge Inspections: Participate in bridge inspections, applying fundamental structural engineering principles
Prepare Documentation: Assist in preparing structural drawings using AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and MicroStation (OpenRoads), as well as reports, cost estimates, and proposals
Conduct Field Work: Work both in the office and in the field, ensuring project accuracy and safety
Adhere to Standards: Perform all work safely and responsibly, aligning with DLZ's health and safety plan and core values
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
3 or more years of structural bridge engineering experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
Strong verbal and written English language skills
Ability to safely visit and traverse construction and project sites while complying with all safety requirements
Preferred
Engineering Intern (EI) certification is preferred, with a strong desire to pursue a Professional Engineer (PE) License
Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and MicroStation (OpenRoads) is a plus
