Responsibilities
Perform molecular assays to detect/type/characterize respiratory viruses
Support assay platform design/evaluation and contribute to surveillance studies
Draft SOPs, worksheets, job aids, validation plans/reports
Maintain lab records; support internal/external audit readiness
Attend team meetings and provide updates on lab activities
Contribute to abstracts, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications as needed
Maintain required medical clearance (e.g., respiratory fit testing) when applicable
Qualification
Required
Provide laboratory diagnostic, immunological/virological, and/or sequencing support for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) respiratory virus work, including assay execution, documentation, and quality practices
Perform molecular assays to detect/type/characterize respiratory viruses
Support assay platform design/evaluation and contribute to surveillance studies
Draft SOPs, worksheets, job aids, validation plans/reports
Maintain lab records; support internal/external audit readiness
Attend team meetings and provide updates on lab activities
Contribute to abstracts, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications as needed
