Responsibilities

Lead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems

Apply engineering principles to improve product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency

Conduct design verification, troubleshooting, and peer reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards

Oversee project planning, budgeting, and execution for engineering initiatives

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and associates

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development from concept through production

Utilize CAD tools (Inventor, AutoCAD) and PDM systems (Vault, SyteLine) to manage designs and documentation

Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and process optimization

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

6+ years of engineering experience, with demonstrated success in product design and development

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, structural analysis, materials selection, and systems integration

Proficiency in CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD) and FEA tools

Experience with manufacturing methods, assembly processes, and Design for X

Project management experience, including budgeting and leading cross-functional teams

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Preferred

Master's degree in mechanical engineering

Lean or continuous improvement experience strongly preferred

Bronze, Silver, or higher Lean training/certification; ability to lead RIE (Rapid Improvement Events)
