They are looking for a Survey Technician/Field Engineer to review blueprints, develop CAD drawings, and maintain control systems for job sites while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Review and comprehend blueprint drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, etc
Review previous surveys, existing control, and land records to verify and support survey data
Develop accurate CAD drawings for job site layout
Establish and maintain a system of horizontal and vertical control for each job site
Layout structures, pipelines, large and small diameter mechanical piping, site grade, cut/fill elevations and process equipment
Develop As-Built files to be provided to engineers and owners
Maintain a clean and organized field book
Work efficiently with little to no supervision
Work closely with Architects, Engineers, Construction Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Superintendents to ensure projects comply with design and regulatory requirements
Follow all Company and OSHA Safety Requirements
Any and all other duties assigned

Qualification

Surveying equipment proficiencyAutoCAD proficiencyBachelor's degree in SurveyingState Plane coordinate systemsMathematical skillsGeneral knowledge of Phoenix areaCommunication skillsTeamwork skills

Required

A Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related field is required
Familiarity with State Plane coordinate systems
Proficiency with surveying equipment (e.g., total station, GPS, site level, laser level, etc.) Familiarity with Leica products is a plus
Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office products
Strong mathematical skills, particularly in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
At least five (5) years of experience using survey equipment and AutoCAD. Construction experience is a plus
Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with various stakeholders and the ability to communicate through email
Must have a clean driver's license and general knowledge of the Phoenix metropolitan area
Passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen is required
