QuickCable Corporation is a leading domestic manufacturer of connectors, cable assemblies, and tools in the DC Electrical Market. They are seeking a Tool Room Technician who will set up and prepare die cast tooling for production, maintain tooling, and ensure quality through inspections and adjustments.

Responsibilities

Set-up all Dies in a work cell to complete parts

Read and interpret specification, drawings, and job orders

Make adjustments and tool changes as needed to maintain part quality

Conduct maintenance log inspections, requests or recommend equipment and tool repairs

Complete first article inspections for conformance to specifications, drawings and job orders using gauges

Perform 6 'S' tasks in the work area and completes area check list

Disassemble and cleans die sets and components

Measure components for wear and correct size before storing

Follow setup instruction sheets closely to assemble die sets

Check completed assembly for accuracy and fit

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

2-3 years' related experience required

Understanding of die casting a must

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and 100's. Ability to use these operations using units of weight and length measurement

English reading and writing is not mandatory, but operator must be able to communicate through an interpreter. Ability to complete written forms and read basic written instructions

Proficient with basic computer data entry

Required to stand for 8 hours or more

Must lift 50lbs or more

Must have 20/30 vision or better, and/or have corrective glasses to meet this requirement

Ability to work in hot environment that may be reach to 100 degrees or higher

Ability to work in very loud and noisy work environment

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment which includes, designated uniform, steel toe shoes, gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, and face mask
