DevOps Engineer
The University of Miami is seeking a DevSecOps Software Engineer for the Department of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role involves designing and implementing software applications while maintaining secure and compliant data infrastructure for biomedical data management and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities
Designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications
Supporting and installing software applications and operating systems
Developing and executing software testing protocols
Maintaining secure, compliant, and scalable data infrastructure to support regulated biomedical data management and analytics platforms
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
2 years of relevant experience
Implementing secure and efficient development processes (SecDevOps)
Establishing a shared repository for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates
Automating secure application deployment workflows
Ensuring comprehensive testing across all stages of application development
Maintaining HIPAA- and HITECH-compliant systems
Implementing role-based access controls
Managing audit trails for secure data access
Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in environments such as Jenkins, Git, or Argo
Working with database technologies including MongoDB
Programming in languages such as Python, NoSQL, JavaScript, or Node.js
Expertise with Agile development methodologies and tools, including Jira and Confluence
Implementing centralized logging and monitoring systems using tools such as Azure Monitor or ELK Stack
Managing production-grade infrastructure for data-intensive applications in a regulated environment
Expertise in the Azure cloud environment
Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with cloud infrastructure providers
Advanced knowledge of Linux systems—including networking, security, and file system management
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash and related tools
