Procurement Manager

Responsibilities
Manage global category initiatives to deliver key performance indicators such as savings, supplier rationalization, low-cost region sourcing, and risk management
Lead the execution of 3 to 5-year global sourcing strategies focused on contracting with preferred suppliers that meet key business needs and category management goals
Participate in the development of long-term global sourcing strategies to identify and contract preferred suppliers
Monitor market intelligence and key trends, assess their impact, and refine category plans to support business requirements
Engage and support division/site procurement teams and other key colleagues to qualify preferred suppliers and migrate spend from non-preferred suppliers
Analyze category supplier performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and establish continuous improvement goals
Participate actively in supplier business reviews to ensure both parties meet obligations under the terms of agreement, including performance standards and continuous improvement goals
Manage strategic contracts across suppliers, products, and services within the category
Facilitate the free flow of spend intelligence and analysis to internal business leaders to enhance decision making
Drive negotiations for global agreements aligned with category strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to ensure all category sourcing activities are aligned with common goals and priorities
Establish category plans and priorities globally and ensure alignment with divisional business priorities
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5-7 years of procurement/sourcing experience in mid to large multinational companies with strong category/business engagement experience
Strong business acumen to assess market/business requirements dynamics and negotiate agreements that yield meaningful business value
Experience working in highly regulated industries
Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of significant year-over-year results
Demonstrated consultative/collaborative style in sourcing activities
Ability to influence without authority to motivate and manage a cross-functional team in multiple geographies
Ability to travel 25 to 50% within the US
Preferred
CPSM or equivalent is preferred
Hands-on manufacturing and/or supply chain experience is preferred
Experience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred
Experience with injection molding is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business or a technical field, or equivalent combination of experience and education (minimum Associate's degree plus two extra years of experience)
Master's degree is preferred
