Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandise - Universal Kids Resort
Universal Orlando Resort is seeking an Assistant Manager for Visual Merchandise to create and manage visual elements that promote their merchandise and food & beverage products. The role involves overseeing the visual merchandise team, developing visual concepts, and ensuring adherence to quality and brand standards.

Responsibilities
Leads the development of visual concepts and designs in stores, restaurants, kiosks and other assigned areas to create, coordinate, organize, and maintain appealing visual displays
Conceptualizes and designs floor plans for merchandising and product presentations, floor plan changes, fixture design, fixture placement, and working with operational teams on merchandising techniques in accordance with company directives
Adheres to Universal Destinations & Experience’s quality, design, IP and brand standards, and follows visual merchandising standards as established by the UP&E/Global Merchandising team
Partners effectively with UP&E/Global Merchandising team and across Universal Destinations & Experiences for ongoing collaboration and to ensure alignment of projects with broader initiatives
Oversees team’s assigned projects and monitors work as they implement floor plan designs, product presentations, future placement and new merchandise fixtures with the Revenue Operations management team
Ensures team is meeting quality, design, IP and brand standards in their work and seeking IP approvals as needed
Enforces department policies and procedures, inclusive of training and safety, while working with management to identify and develop new departmental policies and procedures
Ensures proper training programs are developed, implemented and maintained
Responsible for the hiring and training of staff
Ensures team is effectively managing their workload, meeting their objectives and accountabilities, and completing projects on time and on budget for both visual merchandise and graphic design
Oversees the visual facilities and equipment including warehouses, workshops and company vehicles
Ensures cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of safe workspaces
Supports Manager in maintaining the departmental financial and budgetary plans in accordance with assigned visual projects while adhering to the company’s purchasing guidelines
Monitors overtime ensuring financial responsibility and labor optimization
Builds capital and expense plans as required
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Fine Art or a related field is required
3+ years of experience in Visual Design or Merchandise Design required
1+ year of Sales Management or Visual Management experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Consistent attendance is a job requirement
Preferred
1+ year of Sales Management or Visual Management experience is preferred
