Responsibilities

Plan and conduct small-group reading sessions for K-2 learners, ensuring phonics education is enjoyable, interactive, and tailored to individual needs
Modify teaching approaches on the spot according to student requirements, group proficiency levels, and engagement signals
Facilitate motivational conversations with students to promote progress in adaptive literacy applications and reach educational milestones
Track student advancement data from adaptive platforms and apply it to customize instruction for each reading cohort
Leverage storytelling, humor, gaming comparisons, and positive feedback to sustain student effort and address reluctance

Required

Bachelor's degree in elementary education, reading, or a related discipline
Certification in structured literacy methodologies such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, or comparable evidence-based phonics frameworks
2+ years of experience providing small-group reading instruction to K-2 students or learners facing reading challenges
Proven capacity to evaluate student reading proficiency and develop differentiated instruction autonomously
Passionate about video games and gaming culture, regardless of personal gaming experience
Legally eligible to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
