Clinical Program Coordinator (H)

They are seeking a Clinical Program Coordinator to assist in the development, organization, production, and evaluation of health promotion and educational programs for patients, while also overseeing daily program activities and monitoring financial performance.

Responsibilities
Evaluates program effectiveness, analyzes results, and recommends appropriate action. Coordinates program activities with other program, department or staff activities, ensuring optimum efficiency
Trains, develops, and empowers staff to effectively perform their jobs
Acts as a main point of contact for project funders, advisors, speakers, and participants, and recruits program participants, members, and volunteers
Develops cooperative relationships with patients and families by projecting a positive image and creating a professional atmosphere
Develops program communications and promotional literature for distribution, including newsletters, brochures, and flyers
Prepares periodic reports, financial statements, and records for management or outside agencies. Maintains patient confidentiality as well as the confidentiality of hospital business information. Oversees the maintenance of established supply levels in unit and supply rooms
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
POC (Point of Contact) for all incoming clinical requests involving pathologists
Provides support to the clinical operation for their assigned subspecialty sections, by liaising between pathologists, clinical areas (internal/external), customer care, histology, and ancillary laboratories
Reviewing service line pending list twice a week and conferring with pathology attendings and trainees to meet expected TAT guidelines
Protects sensitive patient medical records through the strict following of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) protocols
Processing of pathologist initiated send out orders (ex: NGS, etc) and monitoring of send out portals to integrate results into EMR (UCHART), and LIS (CoPath)
Preparing/completing sub-specialty TB in a timely fashion
Processing in-house (add-on) testing requests made by clinicians
Overseeing of all client & personal consult cases for completeness, material return, and resulting
Review of sub-specialty add-on testing approval forms for completeness
Completion of any and all additional duties & projects, as assigned by manager, in a timely fashion
Processing of private and client autopsies; documentation and release of results
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Minimum 2 Years Of Relevant Experience
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
Ability to understand and follow instructions
