EvenUp is on a mission to close the justice gap using technology and AI. The Senior Engineering Manager will lead the Document Generation team in building AI-native products that improve outcomes for injury victims and directly support the company's core business.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the strategy, execution, and delivery of AI-native document generation systems

Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team aligned to EvenUp’s business goals

Partner closely with Product, Legal, Operations, and company leadership to deliver customer-centric solutions

Drive complex initiatives from concept through production, iteration, and long-term ownership

Uphold a high bar for engineering quality, reliability, security, and performance

Build a strong, inclusive, and collaborative team culture focused on growth and ownership

Execution & Delivery: Lead teams through the full software development lifecycle, from planning and architecture to deployment and monitoring. Deliver high-impact features and systems that directly support EvenUp’s core products and customers

Architecture & Quality: Establish and champion best practices around system design, testing, observability, security, and reliability. Guide architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable, and AI-enabled systems

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with founders, product managers, legal partners, and operations teams to scope and deliver solutions. Translate business and customer needs into clear technical direction for the team

Ownership & Growth: Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, supporting career growth and technical excellence. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Contribute hands-on when needed, particularly in areas involving LLM integration or AI workflow optimization
