Responsibilities
Lead all membership sales efforts across all membership categories
Direct oversight of the Membership Director and Membership Concierge
Fully responsible for all Golf Membership sales
Lead the sales and marketing efforts for the recruitment of new members by developing membership marketing plans, public relations programs, and sales strategies in partnership with the General Manager/Director of Golf, Director of Commercial, and the Marketing Department
Work closely with the General Manager/Director of Golf, Director of Commercial, and Director of Finance on budgeting and forecasting of expenses and revenues
Assist in developing and maintaining the atmosphere of a private club that will distinguish The Grand Golf Club in a positive manner from all similar competition
Preparation of monthly membership sales report to highlight all sales activities, marketing activities and funnel for new membership sales
Actively develop a Prospective Member Roster from personal referrals from members, directors and officers of major corporations and financial institutions, association rosters, professional societies, mailing lists of new residents, and local civic associations
Ensure prompt and regular communication with all members regarding membership matters and club activities
Coordinate all Marketing Plans
Responsible for all day-to-day administrative membership matters including maintenance of all Membership files, follow-up on inquiries, processing of new member applications, and status change requests
Responsible for marketing, promotional, and follow-up activities including prospective member roster, marketing plans, special events, and exit interviews
Plan and oversee all planned social sales activities such as promotional receptions, new member parties, and orientation sessions
Establish and maintain working rapport with the Club Manager, General Manager and the President of the Board of Directors
Establish and maintain contacts with local civic organizations that are considered helpful to membership sales
Ensure that administrative and promotional tools are integrated into the overall sales effort including membership application packet, welcome packet, handbook, website, and newsletter
Assist in the promotion of Club activities and special events
Work effectively in the art of cultivating outside sales leads
Develop a complete understanding of membership classifications, fee schedules, Club By-Laws and the club in general
Educate and train staff members on how to direct questions regarding all membership inquiries
Promote and sell at appropriate special functions hosted at the Club that are attended by non-members
Follow up with members entertaining guests at the Club
Qualification
Required
College degree required (2-year A.A. or 4-year B.A.)
Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a country club or hospitality environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar software
Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and drive membership sales
