Responsibilities
Assist the Controller in financial management and reporting responsibilities
Maintain general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations
Prepare month-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping and reporting
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
Experience with general ledger, month-end, and financial statement preparation
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and V-lookups
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-5 years of accounting experience
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong decision-making and communication skills, both verbal and written
High attention to detail and accuracy
Effective organizational and time management skills
Ability to collaborate with all departments within the organization
Preferred
Experience with database software, such as SQL, is a plus
Familiarity with ERP systems, including Innovative/AS400, is helpful
Knowledge of the trucking industry is advantageous but not essential
