Responsibilities

Oversees project intake, scope definition, and prioritization across the department

Establishes performance metrics and evaluation standards for project success

Allocates resources across multiple projects and teams

Reviews and approves project plans, timelines, and deliverables

Coordinates schedules and dependencies across teams and units

Monitors project portfolio performance and resolve escalated issues

Leads staffing decisions and team assignments in collaboration with leadership

Provides coaching and guidance to project managers and team leads

Ensures consistent onboarding and training practices across projects

Manages team performance and enforces institutional policies

Conducts quality reviews and ensures adherence to best practices

Maintains oversight of documentation and compliance standards

Develops communication strategies for leadership and stakeholders

Presents portfolio-level updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

Leads complex, high-impact SCCC projects and strategic programs

Leads quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts

Delivers executive-level presentations and reports on program/project outcomes

Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with university policies and procedures

Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on university policy and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Operational Management: Optimizes day-to-day operations and processes for efficiency and effectiveness

Organizational Development: Ability to implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness, engagement, and manage change

Financial Oversight: Knowledge of financial operations and management

Team Leadership: Ability to create and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment, build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively
