Responsibilities
Leads the Global L&D Strategy and Governance:
Strategy design and governance:
Ensures local/regional programs are aligned with the global strategy and framework, processes, programs, and initiatives
Ensure mechanisms are in place to evaluate the effectiveness of L&D initiatives to meet desired outcomes
Ensures learning solutions meet the unique needs of a global workforce, considering cultural and regional differences, allowing appropriate flexibility
Enables HR partners to lead learning & development assessments and strategies for their respective functions and businesses
Develops and maintains tools, templates, and standards to ensure high quality and relevance of training programs
Owns the global learning systems strategy, including LMS, LCMS, and other platforms / tools that enable learning delivery and tracking
Establishes a measurement strategy so all L&D solutions have measures of success in place
Assures global alignment, consistency, and sustainability of the implemented solutions
Establishes and leads Community of Practices, as needed, and maintains strong relationships to leverage best practices, L&D expertise, collaboration and identify synergies
Partnering & Enablement:
Partner to HR partners / business leaders in the development and updating of L&D strategies that support the organization’s overall objectives and growth plans
Provides L&D related consultancy to managers, HR Professionals, and other stakeholder groups as needed to facilitate identification of adequate learning solutions
Provides specialized knowledge to ensure that training programs are effective
Reinforces building the skills and competencies needed for the organization to succeed in the long term
Program Ownership & Project Leadership:
Serves as process owner and project manager leading cross-functional (business partners, Global Sourcing, Finance, HR, IT) project teams to develop and implement key L&D projects and initiatives, and other organizational effectiveness strategies with a particular focus on Leadership Development
Support and/or lead, when needed, other TM/OD initiatives related to culture, engagement, and organizational development to ensure integrated solutions across the employee experience
Program Design & Delivery:
Creates & delivers required L&D solutions / program (i.e. training, facilitation) to dedicated audience addressing the identified objectives
Facilitates training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually
Systems, Platforms & Vendor Management:
Identifies opportunities for optimization and implements solutions that enhance user experience and learning effectiveness related to LMS usage and other learning platforms/software
Works with vendors/consultants for advanced solutions and creates service agreements, contracts, project plans and manages vendor performance against goals
Measurements, Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement:
Leverages L&D data, metrics, stakeholder feedback and external best practices/trends to continuously improve global L&D strategy and related development solutions to maximize organizational effectiveness
Stays up to date with the latest trends and new learning technologies and methodologies to keep the organization at the forefront of industry trends and continuously improve training programs
Qualification
Required
BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as organizational development, organizational psychology or industrial-organizational psychology, instructional technology, educational technology, human resources or business management
10+ years of work experience with career progression in the field of learning, development and training, L&D strategy development and execution, or strategic human resources in large organizations preferably in manufacturing
5 years management/leadership experience
Foundational knowledge and experience in broader talent management and organizational development strategies i.e. change management, performance management and improvement, career development, organizational culture, etc
Project Management, stakeholder management, change management and effective communication leadership on large scale initiatives
Successful program design, development and implementation for a diverse audience crossing many cultures and languages
Ability to solve complex problems while delivering simple solutions, analytical and strategic thinking, ensure strategic alignment of solutions
Works effectively in ambiguous situations by engaging stakeholders, fostering open dialogue, and building consensus to clarify priorities and drive aligned decisions
Ability to translate learning theory and concepts to real-world situations in a relevant and practical way to be applicable in both office and manufacturing realities
Ability to accommodate periodic overnight travel
Preferred
Master's Degree in Learning Design and Development or Human Resources
Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, project management or change management certifications would be an asset
