Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, debug and perform routine measurements on electronic assemblies, subsystems and/or systems using common lab equipment and special test equipment
Interpret engineering drawings, change orders, and work instructions to perform “hands-on” work in compliance with documentation
Install components and parts on chassis, circuit boards, panels, and other equipment using power tools, hand tools, and approved soldering techniques
Set up standard test apparatus and conduct tests and demonstrations of experimental, prototype, and deliverable hardware; record test data following defined methods and present data in prescribed form
Build prototype or deliverable equipment, lay out and assemble components and circuitry, and modify equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, sketches, schematics, technical manuals, etc
Perform all responsibilities in accordance with lab procedures and safety policy. Maintain organized and clean work area

Required

Provides hands-on support for the fabrication, assembly, and test of electronic devices, assemblies, and systems on a wide and diverse number of fronts
Troubleshoot, debug and perform routine measurements on electronic assemblies, subsystems and/or systems using common lab equipment and special test equipment
Interpret engineering drawings, change orders, and work instructions to perform 'hands-on' work in compliance with documentation
Install components and parts on chassis, circuit boards, panels, and other equipment using power tools, hand tools, and approved soldering techniques
Set up standard test apparatus and conduct tests and demonstrations of experimental, prototype, and deliverable hardware; record test data following defined methods and present data in prescribed form

Associate degree in Engineering or similar field

Preferred

Must possess basic knowledge of electronic test equipment such as an oscilloscope, digital multi-meter, logic analyzer, etc
Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals
Motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and processes, and adaptable to change in a professional manner
Must possess good organizational, time management, multi-tasking, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
