IT Technician III
NEOGOV is seeking an IT Technician III to provide advanced technical support and second-tier escalation for service requests. The role involves mentoring lower level positions, assisting with project implementation, and ensuring timely resolutions to complex hardware and software issues.

Responsibilities
Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for Service Desk staff
Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, SCCM, Intune) to streamline operations
Participate in technology evaluations and recommend hardware/software solutions to improve support efficiency and to meet departmental needs
Contribute to planning and execution of IT projects as assigned
Mentor and provide technical guidance to lower level positions
Package and deploy desktop applications, drivers, and images using enterprise deployment tools
Test, maintain, and update workstation and laptop images for new and existing hardware models and latest operating system versions
Configure and deploy mobile devices, desktops, laptops, Cisco desk phones, video conferencing equipment, and peripherals according to County standards
Provide second-tier escalation support for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents
Review and resolve escalated tickets from lower level positions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, printing, and network access issues
Support and maintain user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including group memberships, group policy, shared mailbox permissions, and MFA resets
Manage and troubleshoot file share permissions and network drive mappings
Deploy, update, and monitor endpoint antivirus/antimalware, Windows updates, device firmware, third party applications, and compliance tools
Respond to endpoint security alerts and escalate as necessary
Administer and troubleshoot enterprise printing infrastructure, including print server management and DHCP reservations for printers and end-user devices
Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining security camera and access control systems, coordinating with vendors for repairs or upgrades
Maintain compliance with security standards, licensing agreements, and County policies
Coordinate planned changes for timely implementation with minimal disruption
Document the completion of all changes and the analysis of any failures or rollbacks
Perform 24-hour on-call on rotation

Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Three (3) years of experience providing technical support in an enterprise IT environment
CompTIA A+ certification required
Must pass NCIC background and driving record check
Preferred
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCST, Microsoft MD-102, MS-900 certifications preferred
