Responsibilities

Analyze raw materials, in process, finished product and product shipments by following test procedures and using lab instruments
Perform Waste Water analysis
Perform instrument calibrations, maintenance and keep accurate records
Maintain standardization of reagents and equipment used in laboratory and by Operators
Follow lab and plant policies and procedures (safety, housekeeping, deviations, etc)
Work cooperatively with others in a team environment
Exchange information and communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry or related field preferred
3 to 5 years of experience in a Chemical/Industrial Laboratory setting in lieu of degree
Familiarity with lab equipment such as GC, ICP, FTIR
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Highly organized, with focus on process and time management discipline
Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent computer skills and attention to detail a must
Familiar with ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management System
Willingness to work around dust, chemicals, high pressure, high temperature, loud noises, and running equipment
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, respirator, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, chemical suit, and hearing protection)
Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs
