Responsibilities
Assist Traffic Safety and Traffic Operations professionals as needed
Research and analyze vehicular and vulnerable road user (pedestrian, bicyclist, personal conveyance device user, or worker in a work zone) crash data
Provide analysis to support development of design or operational ideas and solutions
Develop an awareness of standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures
Research alternate solutions and design options in support of the project team, e.g. white paper research
Assist in preparation of studies, conceptual designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings
Communicate and collaborate in a team environment and adapt to dynamic project needs
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Must have completed one year of study
Preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and basic data science concepts
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and willingness to learn advanced techniques
