Responsibilities

The individual in this position is an advanced-level caseworker providing highly skilled services in cases that are complicated by topics such as media reporting or multiple social problems and cultural issues that require incumbents to have a considerable knowledge of the social work practices and principles and client base

The work we perform is critical and significantly impacts the communities we serve

As a result, the Office of Children's Services works on evenings and weekends, in addition to the workweek

Overtime and on-call work are expectations of our workers

PSS staff members are considered essential

A valid Alaska driver's license

Successful completion of a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a criminal records check

A child protective history check will be performed per AS 12.62.160 and/or 13 AAC 68.315
