Assistant Director of Development - College of Arts and Sciences

Texas A&M Foundation is dedicated to uniting donor generosity with the university's vision. The Assistant Director of Development will develop long-term relationships with donors to solicit impactful gifts that support Texas A&M's mission and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

Develop and cultivate long-term, donor-centric relationships built on understanding donors’ interests, passions, and values
Solicit impactful gifts that advance the mission of Texas A&M, the College/Unit, and strategic academic priorities
Implement the Foundation’s fundraising model—discovering, inspiring, inviting, and engaging prospective donors with major and planned gift potential
Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Prepare and present proposals for major and planned gifts, ensuring alignment with donor interests and university priorities
Collaborate with faculty, leadership, and colleagues to develop strategies and funding priorities
Coordinate donor engagement activities, including campus visits, events, and recognition opportunities
Maintain accurate records and reports on donor interactions, proposals, and progress toward goals
Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational goals, sharing best practices and identifying process improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 1+ years of fundraising or other related experience
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
High motivation, proactive approach, and strong work-ethic. Commitment to the mission and vision of Texas A&M Foundation

Preferred

Master's degree
2+ years of related development experience
Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), or other comparable certification
Experience in non-profit organization or higher education sectors
