5+ years expAmazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Regional Chief Engineer to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. The Regional CE is responsible for ensuring the safe and secure operation of the data center's Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure while managing projects and collaborating with various teams to drive innovation and reduce operational costs.

Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a data center, to include HVSS
Operate independently with limited direct management
Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the region
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
Create and deploy new standard practices for EOTs, CEs, and vendor support teams
Provide training and guidance to EOTs, CEs, and FMs
Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendor and Amazon staff
Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience
Work cross-functionally across teams to effect cluster-wide performance improvement with our internal and external partners by designing and implementing processes, metrics, and programs that enhance the end to end employee experience
Collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals, and obtain commitment to timelines and deliverables
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
5+ years of facilities management experience
Associates or Bachelors degree in applicable engineering field or mechanical or electrical trades 8+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment
3+ years of program or project management using metrics to define requirements and track program/project health
Preferred
3+ years of High Voltage Sub-Station (HVSS) Experience
Operating engineering licenses such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent Stationary Engineering or Building Engineering License Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License CFC license NFPA 70E
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid leadership and organizational skills
