Responsibilities
Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to tables, and provide menus
Schedule dining reservations, arrange parties, and coordinate special services for diners
Adjust and resolve guest complaints as directed by a supervisor
Assign and coordinate tasks for dining room staff to ensure prompt, courteous, and fair service
Inspect serving stations for neatness and cleanliness; requisition linens and supplies as needed
Ensure menus are clean, organized, and presentable
Notify servers of new tables and communicate with line cooks on large party arrivals
Train and mentor dining room employees as needed, including scheduling work hours and maintaining time records
Assist in planning menus, preparing beverages, and expediting food orders when necessary
Handle end-of-shift responsibilities such as totaling receipts, clearing the register, and collecting payments
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first approach
Ability to multitask and manage seating flow during peak times
Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and presentation
Team-oriented with the ability to support and coordinate dining room staff
Professional demeanor and problem-solving skills to handle guest concerns
Preferred
Previous hospitality or guest service experience preferred
Experience in dining room operations or customer service roles is a plus
