Responsibilities

Apply broad and deep knowledge in structural engineering and marine infrastructure projects
Perform tasks in the field of structural analysis and design; including but not limited to reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design and timber design; deep foundations; gravity-based foundations; earth retaining structures, etc
Implement design best practices and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications
Perform and review calculations for analysis purposes
Prepare construction documents and oversee construction administration activities
Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers
Conduct site inspections, prepare observation reports, and generate written documents within project timelines and budgets

Required

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering
4 to 10 years of prior project-based engineering experience, focusing on waterfront and coastal design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 6 months
The ability to effectively manage tasks and skilled at attending to multiple responsibilities in a brisk environment
Proficient interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Willingness to travel, especially for fieldwork in the New York City area

Preferred

Master of Science (MS) degree an asset
