Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of GAAP, STAT, and management financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
Oversee NAIC schedules and statutory filings, maintaining adherence to all regulatory requirements
Mentor and guide the reporting team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with strong internal controls, documentation, and audit readiness
Partner with Operations, Controllers, and FP&A to deliver cohesive, data-driven reporting and analysis
Drive initiatives to optimize reporting systems, streamline consolidation, and enhance automation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
8+ years in financial reporting, consolidation, and statutory reporting within the insurance or financial services industry
Advanced Excel, SAP, and data visualization (MicroStrategy or similar) proficiency, with experience in large-scale consolidation and reporting systems
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, STAT, NAIC, and management reporting standards
Strategic, detail-oriented leader with strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Preferred
CPA strongly preferred
Familiarity in tax and regulatory frameworks preferred
