Creative Director

Responsibilities

To creatively direct conceptual designers / graphic designers / art workers, harnessing their development and performance, in a manner that assures maximum efficiency and creativity
To manage, supervise, review and audit the work of designers and art workers to ensure the creative level expected by the client is being met
To work with and support the OLIVER Business Director to deliver excellent client service
To act as brand guardian to ensure all design collateral produced is faithful to the client’s brand guidelines
To effectively organize and prioritize workload, especially around deadline, and have the flexibility to respond to increases in workload/ tight deadlines
To motivate and influence the creative team to constantly strive for excellence in performance
To proactively monitor the quality of design projects being produced by leading internal review sessions and seeking feedback from both internal and external stakeholders
To oversee and manage the timely delivery of all jobs, always taking into consideration the clients’ requirements and expectations
To manage, oversee and coordinate the sharing of knowledge and the facilitation of learning within the team to improve business practices and promote the development of creative ideas and introduce new services
To work actively with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the highest level of client service from all team members
To train and mentor staff and oversee their professional development through the setting of SMART objectives and PDPs, offering knowledge, motivation, support and experience as required
With the assistance of Account Lead, ensure all staff members accurately record timesheets

Required

Experience in overseeing and directing conceptual and design projects
Ability to manage, supervise, review, and audit the work of designers and art workers
Strong leadership skills to motivate and influence the creative team
Proven ability to monitor the quality of design projects and lead internal review sessions
Experience in managing timely delivery of all jobs while considering client requirements
Ability to coordinate knowledge sharing and facilitate learning within the team
Experience in training and mentoring staff for professional development
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload, especially around deadlines
Experience in acting as a brand guardian to ensure adherence to brand guidelines
Strong communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
