Responsibilities

Supervises professional, technical, and administrative employees, handling both long-range and short-range planning to accomplish the branch's missions

Responsible for the branch's business and administrative functions, including managing the organizational structure, workload, staffing, and budget

Develop and implement operating policies, maintain relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders

Provide expert advice to senior leaders and represents the District at meetings and conferences

Responsible for delivering all products and services within the branch's functional areas, ensuring technical adequacy and quality by implementing quality management programs

Overseeing quality of in-house and A-E products

Resolves conflicts between the branch and other organizations

Utilizes appropriate contract mechanisms to support the branch's workload and coordinates with other departments to execute work effectively

Required

Possess and maintain a Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, Professional Architect licensure, or Professional Geologist licensure

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation

Possess or obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate motor vehicles

Only current Department of Army Civilian Employees will be considered for these positions

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, etc.) and other organizations (e.g. professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social, etc.)
