VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is seeking a Client Service Representative to join their team in Woodland Hills, California. The role involves providing excellent customer service, scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and ensuring the hospital environment is clean and welcoming.

Responsibilities

Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside

Required

Excellent customer service skills
Ability to greet visitors and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms
Experience in scheduling and confirming appointments
Ability to place outbound calls for follow-ups and reach out to prospective clients

Knowledge of recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
Ability to answer questions regarding products and services and educate clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
Experience in managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
Ability to maintain hospital cleanliness, including removal of animal waste
