Responsibilities
Play a critical role in shaping the technical direction and architecture of our software platform
Lead the design and development of complex software systems, working closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers
Mentor and coach junior engineers, guiding them in best practices and helping them grow their skills
Be a technical leader, driving innovation and spearheading the implementation of new technologies and frameworks
Collaborate through pair programming and contribute to team acceleration by consistently reviewing and providing actionable feedback on code
Engage with customers to articulate the rationale behind features and explain pain points for fellow engineers
Bring fresh technologies and methodologies to the team, establishing yourself as a technological thought leader
Meet deadlines through effective planning, prioritization, and accurate estimates
Qualification
Required
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Have at least 10 years of professional experience in software development, with a solid record of designing and building complex software systems
Possess expertise in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Typescript
Expertise in building large React applications
Demonstrate a strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
Have experience working with databases such as Postgres or MySQL
Show excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with great attention to detail
Be familiar with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum or Kanban
Show proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers
Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
