Responsibilities
Develop, edit, and maintain geotechnical guidance
Evaluate all draft or proposed guidance for technical accuracy, clarity, and purpose
Lead or collaborate with technical teams and committees responsible for developing guidance
Lead the management of web tools and the Geotechnical Services web pages
Lead or assist with the development and delivery of training for GS staff and DES cross-functional units
Qualification
Required
Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required
Describe your experience leading a formal technical team tasked with developing a geotechnical standard. List specific examples
Describe your experience leading a formal quality team tasked with developing a quality-related geotechnical process. List specific examples
Describe your experience working on teams with stakeholders of various disciplines and your collaboration with them that led to improving quality (e.g. design guidance, quality process, project delivery, etc.). List specific examples
Discuss your experience in developing and delivering formal training on geotechnical design, construction, or quality related topics
Describe your field investigation experience on Caltrans projects by listing the number of boreholes you logged using Caltrans Soil and Rock Logging, Classification and Presentation Manual
Describe your geotechnical design experience on Caltrans projects by listing the number of Geotechnical Design Reports and the number of Foundation Reports you completed
Describe your experience in managing a formal computer database, tracking tool or webpage for a company or organization. List specific examples
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
