Highway Designer
HARDESTY & HANOVER CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, LLC is a trusted full-service infrastructure engineering firm with over 138 years of experience. They are seeking a Highway Designer to assist in the design and development of highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects, as well as traffic control and staging plans.
Mechanical Or Industrial Engineering
Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of conceptual alternative and final design plans for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects
Assist in the design and production of traffic control and staging plans and traffic, signing, and striping plans
Perform geometric designs and plan development utilizing a variety of computer design software, including MicroStation, AutoCadd, InRoads, AutoTurn and GuideSign
Assist in the design of ADA-compliant facilities, including sidewalks, shared-use paths, and intersection curb ramps
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required for full-time position
Must be a detailed-oriented, self-starter, and comfortable working in a team environment
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred
Experience with MicroStation V8i experience with Bentley In-Roads
EIT certification and prior internship experience
