Responsibilities
Support Workday data extraction and reporting efforts
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to locate, transform, and load Workday data into Snowflake
Assist in building and orchestrating data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Generate files and reports from Snowflake for downstream systems
Collaborate with internal teams to understand Workday's data model and identify where data resides
Support data curation efforts for Parcor inventory control tower by integrating data from multiple systems into Snowflake
Contribute to Snowflake orchestration and data flow design
Optional: Explore opportunities to apply AI to improve data workflows and reporting efficiency
Qualification
Required
Strong SQL expertise: Ability to write performant queries and troubleshoot data issues
Data engineering experience: Especially in environments with complex data flows and multiple source systems
Workday familiarity: Not required, but a strong plus; Must be able to learn the Workday data model quickly with guidance
Snowflake: Experience preferred, but candidates with strong database backgrounds who can ramp up quickly are welcome
ADF (Azure Data Factory): Experience with orchestration and data movement pipelines
Data curation: Understanding of how to structure and prepare data for reporting and integration
Self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal handholding
Strong problem-solving skills-especially in locating and understanding unfamiliar data structures
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
AI/ML exposure: Experience applying AI to data engineering or reporting tasks is a major plus
Power BI: Not a focus, but any exposure is fine
